Trauma / PTSD
As a dedicated therapist, I specialize in helping individuals navigate the complex and often challenging journey of healing from trauma and PTSD. My approach is deeply empathetic and individualized, recognizing that trauma can arise from a myriad of experiences and profoundly impacts one’s life.
The difference between trauma and PTSD is length of time. Trauma refers to an individual’s experience during and immediately after a life-threatening or highly distressing event. Did you know ? Trauma that is not processed in the mind and body can progress into PTSD, which is a specific mental health diagnosis.
Therapy Modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Healing the Inner Child Approach, Narrative therapy.
Beyond Diagnosis: My goal is not to narrowly categorize experiences but to provide a safe space for expressing feelings and thoughts, no matter how painful or complex the journey has been. I also focus on helping my client to heal their wounded childhood experiences through self-love and compassion and reparenting themselves through their strengths they already possess.
Empowering Self-Discovery: The journey involves discovering personal resilience and developing strategies to cope with and eventually overcome the effects of trauma.
Comprehensive Care: Treatment may include various techniques, tailored to your specific needs, to address both the emotional and physiological responses to the aspects of trauma such as mindfulness techniques and client’s faith base spirituality.
